Eleven Displaced By Columbia Heights Apartment Fire In DC, Officials Say

Eleven people, including four children, were displaced after a fire ripped through a Northwest DC residential building on Thursday, Oct. 27, officials said.

The blaze broke out in a three-story middle-of-row apartment house on the 1300 block of Euclid Street in Columbia Heights, according to a 10 p.m Twitter post by DC Fire and EMS.

The seven adults and four children inside all escaped uninjured, officials said.

Meanwhile, a local Red Cross group was assisting the displaced residents.

The cause remains under investigation by authorities.
